Topper open meeting at Tamesis Club on 24th May 2025
Tamesis Club hosted 22 boats for the Spring 5 round of the London & Southeast regional Topper series on Saturday 25th May 2025. Thames Series Merlin Open - Sondown Cup and Elizabeth Bowl 18th May 2025
Sunday May 18th was the Thames Series Merlin Rocket Open sponsored by Craftinsure for all ages of boat competing for the Sondown Cup (for the overall result) and the Elizabeth Bowl (for the first vintage boat). Saga Trophy 2025, 2nd race, 8th May 2025
Image by Chris Wade The second Thursday in the 2025 Saga Trophy produced a beautiful evening's racing, with sunshine and a good northeasterly wind giving a beat downstream and a run upstream. Minima Long Distance Race 2025 - Merrie May
Minima Long Distance Race - Tactical Challenges on the Thames On Monday, 5 May, Tamesis Club sailors participated in the Minima Long Distance Races hosted by Minima Yacht Club. ILCA Class Captain Ilker Sener and Hon. Sailing Secretary Peter Impey took on the challenge, joining a competitive fleet for a gruelling 2.5-hour race up the Thames from Kinsgston to Hampton. Saga Trophy 2025, 1st Race, 1st May 2025
Summer 2025 Thursday evening racing started promisingly with a gentle westerly wind but faded as the evening progressed. Sunny Firefly Open for the Elizabeth Cup and Firefly Junior Cup
Report Jamie McEwan Photos Carolyne Vines A round dozen Fireflies congregated at Tamesis Club on Saturday 26th April for the annual Elizabeth Cup and even-more-coveted Junior Cup. They were rewarded with bacon rolls on arrival, tasty lunches and delicious cake after racing, plus glorious warm spring weather.
